Now she’s turned her attention to the past, crafting a series of historical mysteries set in the 19th century religious settlement of her ancestors in the 1830s Ohio village of Zoar. The books, dubbed the singular village mysteries, feature a midwife, her cabinet-maker husband, and Sullivan’s real-life distant grandfather. Cover Her Body, was released in 2011, and Graven Images, the second book in the series was released in September 2013.
