Mini Workshop: Turn your scenes from bland to grand Using Nancy Picard’s CASTS system

We’ll start with a writing prompt warm-up from VP Gary Miller. After a brief explanation of the CASTS system, we’ll pair off and apply it. Bring two printed copies of a short scene (2-3- pages). Also bring a pencil and ink pens in two colors—or better still, five different-colored highlighters. Nancy Pickard swears hitting upon the CASTS system is the secret of her success.  I guarantee that applying the system to your own work will point up your strengths and weaknesses.
