Members of the St. Louis chapter receive discounted admission to special events and conferences, author promotion, trips to hear great mystery writers, field trips to law/crime related events, invitations to members-only social events, the opportunity to learn from sisters and misters with real world experience, a monthly electronic newsletter, active critique groups, and e-mail alerts with up-to-date information about chapter happenings. Best of all, when you join Sisters in Crime St. Louis, you make friends with people who share your passion.
PROMOTION
As a member you are eligible for:
- An Author Page with your photo, bio, picture, book covers, and a link to your author website. Even if you are not currently published, it is a great first step for aspiring authors to have a three inch wide photo (300 dpi or more) and to write a short bio (50-100) words. As you move ahead with your career, you will need them!
- Access to various special events hosted by or conducted in conjunction with Sisters in Crime, where you may promote your books. Events our group have previously enjoyed include Bookfest, group signings in various bookstores and malls and community events, speeches and presentations to libraries and conventions, field trips to morgues and prisons, and much more.
